miss arminda imed me:

arminda: Also, more importantly, how is your love pumpkin?

i showed rich, who explained:

rich: Haha. If you ever call me that, we’ll have words.

magisteriously.
magicianly.
maggotorium.

and: the word hackney as a noun means a horse used for regular riding. so something used in the sense of a hackney becomes hackneyed.

yes language

in the middle ages in france, the northerners spoke langue d’oïl (later langue d’oui), a name basically meaning that language where they say oïl for “yes.” in the south, they spoke langue d’oc, again for the word for “yes.” modern french is from langue d’oïl, but languedoc is the name of a very-south and central-lying french province that shares a border with spain. it also refers to the wine they produce there.
