OREGON — Authorities have arrested three juveniles in connection with two homemade bombs that exploded outside of Oregon High School this afternoon.
They also found a homemade pipebomb inside the school, causing officials to evacuate the school around 1 p.m. today. The bombs that exploded outside didn’t cause damage or hurt anybody. The pipebomb didn’t go off.
Authorities from around the area, including the Winnebago County bomb squad, are investigating. Students have gone home for the day. Streets in the immediate area are closed.
